Baby Umland - 25 Weeks
Each week we get closer to meeting our first kiddo. We have been reading our baby book and getting excited for the progress Baby Umland has made in the first 25 weeks.
Milestones to note:
Heartburn has kicked in and it doesn't matter what I eat!
Robert felt his first kick or punch!
Purchased my first maternity clothing! Very comfortable!
Baby Umland is very active in the morning (must mean you take after your father). He/She doesn't mind kicking/punching me in my upper ribs on my right side.
Before Baby Umland gets here we have:
Interviewed in-home daycare providers and toured daycare facilities. We hope to have a place picked out by the end of July.
The nursery is starting to come together. The office was cleared out, Robert painted the walls and the crib was put together (Thank You Lindsey, Dillon or Carter :)
Started our Baby Registry on Amazon and Babies R Us. We have received valuable input from our friends on what to and not to buy.
Baby Umland's Growth:
Head to heels, baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. It's weight — 1 1/2 pounds — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but its beginning to exchange long, lean look for some baby fat. As it does, its wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and it'll start to look more and more like a newborn. It is also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.
Next Up:
Decorate the nursery.
28 Week ultrasound to check how far my placenta is from my cervix.
Still coming up with names. We have a list, but haven't found the perfect one for either gender.
